Great Food Truck Race Schedule Bits
I’ve got nothing conclusive or etched in stone – remember, this is reality TV and they thrive on changing stuff up on contestants – but this is my best guess as of whatever is mentioned below as the last update! Updates made throughout the weekend asI get ‘em! Also – YelpDenver has been really digging into this and coming up with some details, so kudos, and thanks to her! Also thanks to the great vendors who keep sending me info! Y’all rock.
I’m posting updates as I get them, so keep checking back here! Last update: Sunday 2 AM!

We hear they’re working with Chicago Louie’s, but have no indication that Chicago Louie’s will be joining. (Info from YelpDenver and BurgerConquest,)
Sunday

Street Eats and Crock Spot in attendance

- Hodge Podge’s will be at Washington park 11-7 but seem to think they might be forcefully relocated.
- Seabirds will be joining the Washington Park gathering, as well!
In Other News….
- Devilicious is presumably out of the race
Unrelated – as I was driving to a meeting this morning, I found myself right behind the Seabirds car (not the truck – just a little sedan with the Seabirds logo on the side). I honked and waved like a jackass. They looked a bit confused.

I love you Shelly, That last sentence AGAIN almost made me shoot tea out my nose…
Haven’t heard a peep from seabirds. Basic Kneads wood-fired pizzas right next to their truck will have vegan cheese and a sweet marinara pizza with caramelized garlic dollops (no cheese)
Great article!!! I wish I could be there for Mother’s Day!
It’s going to be a great time with all the food trucks!
I am a super fan of Cafe Con Leche in Los Angeles, so I’m a little biased!
Their Cuban parties on both days sound like a blast!!!
You’ll have a great time! Good luck to everyone!
Thanks for the shout-out! Maybe we can meet up at one of this mobile eateries this weekend?
@Quiero – I <3 you too! awww. ..
@Eric – i’m passing on your menu to my vegan peeps! a said “garlic dollop” to a coworker today and I think she passed out.
@Joan – I hear amazing things about Cafe Con Leche – looking forward to hitting them up!
@Tiffany – it’s gonna be a crazy weekend, but I’ll likely hit the atomic event and Sweet Action saturday pm, steuben’s Sunday late morning, and great divide Sunday pm. and who knows what else! I’ll keep an eye out for you, and post updates on twitter!
I love it! This is going to be a hoot. I wish I could make the rounds, maybe on Sunday when I am resting like a mother!
And rest you should! Thanks so much for all your help keeping this up to date, Denon!
@shelly glad you didn’t say * caramelized* garlic, we might have had a cardiac event at work. The caramelized garlic is a whole different clove. There’s just a bit of it left, so we may save it for the vegan special.
Shelly-Awesome listing! We will be @ Cuba Cuba early afternoon & then onto Atomic Cowboy for the madness on Sat. Hope to see ya at some point!
jeeezuz ERIC! stop! I can’t make it to Horseshoe today (buh) but hopefully one of our other writers will – Megan, Pat?!. If you get any photos,I’d love to share them on the site!
and Pat – GREAT! that you’re hitting Cuba Cuba! I can’t hit that one either, so please take photos and share any and all info! We’ll do a monster post-mortem write up on the race.
And I will look for you tonight at Atomic!
Shelly & Staff-I’ll be using Twitter via foursquare to check in all day. Best way to track me. Hope to meet you all finally.
It sounds like a fun weekend!
Shelly, yes so many people LOVE Cafe Con Leche!
Their food is really good and their coffee is delicious!
They make it for you fresh in the authentic style of mixing sugar with
a little coffee into a frothy paste. Then, they spoon a dollop of that on top of espresso.
They have fresh plantains, which are my favorite!
Also a favorite is the Curepa, Chef Frankie’s creation.
It is a sandwich based on the Venezuelan Arepas.
They make a flat thick tortilla out of masa corn flour.
Then, they grill it, then slice apart, so you have 2 griddle cakes.
Then, they make a sandwich between it. You can choose beef, chicken
or pork or veggie. They they top with sliced tomatoes, goat cheese & ther special sauce.
Yummy!
We went to their new cafe in LA for Valentine’s Day and
I tried my first Curepa! It was great!
They also make homemade empanadas, pastries and flan.
But, I don’t know what deserts they are making on the race.
We miss them in LA, but are happy for everyone else to try their food!
And, it’s always a party, at the truck with great Latin music & dancing!
It would be a great thing to do for Mother ‘s Day! Please tell them hi from Joan in LA
and say Dale Fuacata! Maybe you’ll get a free treat!
Enjoy!
Good crowd @ Hodge Podge & Lime @ Marzacks Foods-ordered the lobster roll-will report back.
Hey Pat! Don’t miss Cafe Con Leche truck today at Cuba Cuba!
Free drinks from Cuba Cuba and whole roasted pig!
Joan-we waited so long for food @ Korilla that we’ve run out of time. We will hit Cafe Con Leche @ Great Divide on Sunday
Shelly-we are heading back out-we ate @ Hodge Podge (wow!) and Lori from Westword snagged us a sample from Korilla.
Hodge Podge has arrived @ Atomic Cowboy
Just heard about this website today from a friend, great information here!
Mdade it to Marcyks this afternoon and waited for the lime truck. It was well worth the wait! Cheesteak, taco and nuggets were all delicious!
Hope to make it to Great Divide tomorrow, sounds like a blast
Roxies has arrived @ Atomic Cowboy looking for parking!
Seabirds will be at Wash Park as well Sunday all day! You have gotta try this food!
You folks are amazing! Sounds like everyone at well, but I hope your appetite is ready to be kickstarted! it’s round 2! Where will you be eating today?! And welcome BSquared, and thanks to JMO for the tip!
We are off to Wash Park for round 1, then to Great Divide…then off to celebrate with my Mom and sisters burgers…Thankfully I should be good and full by that time!
Read that in SLC, a curveball was thrown Sunday that trucks had to move every hour, except the truck that won the challenge. Wonder what it will be today?
Speedbump in – Only one person per truck working…ouch
