A street food picnic…in the car (part two Sweet Revenge Cupcakes)

After my Street Eat’s feast in the car I was ready for dessert.  Cupcakes.

OPEN!

Who doesn’t love a cupcake?!

Sweet Revenge Cupcakes is owned and operated by a husband and wife duo, Vanessa and Jamie.  Based out of Castle Rock they spend a lot of time in and around Parker but you can find them other places since they are also warriors. Food Truck Warriors.

In my opinion, there isn’t a lot to consider when it comes to a good cupcake.  I’ve had plenty in my time and I’ll tell you there definitely are some crappy cakes out there.  However, people purchase them because they are a novelty.

Here are a few basic steps when it comes to deciding if you’ve got a good thing.

Cupcake Criteria:

Are they moist?  YES

Do they fall apart when you try to eat them?  NO

Do they look so good you want to smash your (or someones) face in them?  YES

Is there the right amount of icing to cake ratio?  YES

Are they just so stinkin’ cute?  YES

All signs point to tasty, creative, good cupcakes.  Sweet Revenge has over 50 flavors and purchasing options, including packs of minis.

I grabbed a few packs of minis and their very yummy Passion Fruit cupcake and headed off.  Check out the cupcake car picnic photo shoot.

Yes, the red velvet mini was really THAT good.  It’s been days since I ate it and I’m still wondering how the cream cheese icing can taste so much like cream cheese but have the light texture of icing.  Hello, Eighth Wonder of the World.

Keep tabs on them via Facebook or Twitter, and swing by for a treat or call them for an order!

Price per cupcake is $2.50 and a six pack of minis is $5.00.
