Like, you think street food is totally tubular, right? And the Justice League is the raddest thing, like, ever, right? So put on your legwarmers and bitchinest chain belt and bangles and get ready to discuss the pros and cons of Reaganomics with the gnarliest group of foodies this side of the Valley. The Justice League’s big party this Friday night is an all-out 80s fest, and rumor has it that there’s gonna be a fashion contest, so don’t skimp on the shoulder pads or Don Johnson inspired white jackets.
To set the mood, deejay Bobby C will be spinning 80s tunes and the totally awesome Denver Film Society will be rolling 80s movies all night long. Does it get any better than that?! Like, only if they had a game of strip croquet, right?
Enough with the theme. What about the food?!
Of course, the fun and games are rad, but we’re serious like Alex P. Keaton when it comes to food. And happily, so are the Justice Leaguers! Each vendor is prepped to offer up a new bite-sized delectable edible – small bites that will allow you to graze at all the trucks without getting too full too fast. The Cupcake Truck is offering, quite wonderfully, Strawberry Shortcake cupcakes (!!!) and The Steamin Demon will be slinging drunken noodles! Speaking of drunken, per the Westword, there may be some new boozy options beyond the wonderful Great Divide beers and Infinite Monkey wines, so you can drink like you’re friggin’ Tommy Lee on a tour stop in Detroit. Okay, maybe not that much. But eat up, and drink up, peeps. And if anyone can snap some pix, send em my way! I’ll be outta town this weekend, so am gonna miss the whole damned thing. Wah!
